"Hi, I’m Ricardo, a Gestalt Psychotherapist and BACP-accredited Humanistic Integrative Counsellor with over 20 years of experience helping individuals explore the depth and richness of their human experience. My approach combines the emotional power of Humanistic Music Therapy and the mind-body connection of Bioenergetic Therapy, all rooted in wisdom I’ve gained from working with indigenous communities and navigating life as a Mexican living in the UK.
If you’re seeking a therapist who truly understands the challenges of feeling different, navigating cultural transitions, or embracing your authentic self, I offer a compassionate and non-judgmental space for you to heal, grow, and thrive. Together, we’ll work to uncover your strengths, reconnect with your true self, and create a meaningful, fulfilling life."
Professional background
With over 20 years of experience as a Gestalt Psychotherapist and BACP-accredited Humanistic Integrative Counsellor, I am passionate about guiding individuals toward a deeper understanding of themselves and helping them embrace their full potential. My journey into psychotherapy began with a career transition from law to a profound exploration of what it means to live authentically. Along the way, I had the privilege of working with indigenous communities, whose wisdom deeply influenced my therapeutic approach, blending ancient insights with modern techniques.
My approach integrates Humanistic Music Therapy and Bioenergetic Therapy, focusing on the powerful connection between emotions and the body. By combining these modalities, I support my clients in releasing emotional blockages, fostering self-awareness, and building resilience to thrive in their lives.
As a Mexican living in the UK, I bring a unique perspective to my practice, understanding firsthand the challenges of cultural adaptation and the complexities of feeling like an outsider. This drives my commitment to providing a compassionate, inclusive space for individuals from all walks of life—especially those from diverse cultural, sexual, or neurodivergent backgrounds.
I am a proud member of the Mexican Association of Gestalt Psychotherapy, the International Association for Counselling, and the UK Association for Gestalt Practitioners. These affiliations highlight my commitment to maintaining excellence and staying at the forefront of the field.
If you’re seeking a therapist who brings empathy, expertise, and a culturally informed perspective, I would be honored to walk alongside you. Together, we can explore your inner world, uncover your strengths, and create meaningful, lasting change in your life.
This is what my clients are saying about our sessions

I find myself quoting you a lot! and that means I am finding value and connecting with the sentiments. I feel that we have delved into anything I have wanted to explore and I always gain insights from the sessions. So overall the feedback is great :) Q.A.

Ricardo has allowed me to explore a number of issues - some of which I wasn’t even aware of coming into therapy - in a very safe, compassionate and personable manner. I have got a lot out of our sessions and can definitely notice improvements in my life as a result. Whilst it has also thrown up a lot of other emotions which I’m trying to build awareness of and methods of dealing with, with Ricardo’s guidance I feel I am in the right track
